Grandstream GXW4216V2 to Yeastar




Setup Yeastar User


In Yeastar admin portal, add user for the ATA   and configure as below:




  1. Assign Extension Number and Name, take note of Registration Name and Password, use auto generated or set a new password.

Disable Voicemail if not required 


  1. Click Save and Apply













Grandstream GXW4216V2


The IP address of unit is Displayed on the LED


The password is on a sticker on the bottom of the unit 


  1. In Maintenance /Network settings you can set a static IP address (optional but recommended)
  2. In Maintenance/Web/SSH Access you can set a new password (optional )
  3. In Maintenance/Date and time you can set the Time zone 


Create a Profile 


1.Profiles/Profile 1/General Settings

Set profile to active 

IP address of your URL for the Yeastar instance 

IP Address of PBX in  primary outbound proxy address 








2. Profile/Profile 1/Audio settings /Analogue Line settings (bottom of page)

Change hook flash timer to 50 ms

Save and apply

Set registration expiration to 5

Set Reregister Before expiration to 120

2. FXS Ports/Port settings/FXS1-16

Enter the SIP extension details you created before 


In the FXS ports and make sure they are assigned to the correct profile

Save and apply


Now Reboot

Fault Finding 

  1. Maintenance/Ethernet capture

Stop and download file 


Open the file ( in this case I am using 7ZIP)

This will give a Pcap file 


You can now view in wireshark the reason for the failure.
