Yeastar – Adding Company contacts to Grandstream phones – Using GDMS or manually provision
In GDMs
The only thing in this site is the URL for my Yeastar
I have my handsets in Voip Devices pointed to that site – there is nothing else configured for these handsets
So I am only using the GDMS as a redirect server to pick up the url for the Yeastar
Alternatively if you are manually provisioning
you can just enter the reprovisioning link into the phone _ if you factory reset the phones at any time you will have to reenter the URL
Yeastar
Log in to PBX web portal
Add users to your Company contacts – as you can see in this case some entries are being pulled from CRM , some have been manually entered
1 , go to Contacts > LDAP Server.
2 On the top of the page, turn on LDAP Server.
3 Click the LDAP Server Settings tab to check the LDAP Server settings .
Click the LDAP Nodes tab, enable or disable the nodes according to your needs.
If a node is disabled, you cannot query the information under this node.
Add your phones under Auto provisioning as per normal
In Extension and trunk /Extension /phone
Select the LDAP server address as the one you just created (it will be in the drop down )
Save and apply
Plug your phone in _ IF YOUR PHONE IS ALREADY CONNECTED TO THE YEASTAR YOU MAY HAVE TO FACTORY RESET THE HANDSET TO DOWNLOAD THE LDAP CONFIG -I found reprovision did not work )
To test
Goto handset and click on the Contacts button or scroll to Contact thru menu
Then LDAP directory – you should now see your entries
If not – in same menu goto Config and see if the server address etc is in the phone (This should be downloaded when the phone pulls down the Config file from the Yeastar)
If empty
Try factory resetting the phone again
