It is recommended for all SIP trunking that Direct Indial is set up for all channels, even if you only have one number, this prevents phish attempts as SIP INVITES with incorrect destinations will be rejected
The following is an example of how to set up DDI having 2 modes eg day/night.
Programming:
Set up 2 Mailboxes 201 ( day ) and 202 ( night ) in 47-02
Set up 2 Voicemail box Keys & a Night switch Key in 15-07
22-02-01 - Set all trunks to DID ( all modes, per trunk)
22-09-01 Set to 8 digit mapping for your relevant Trunk group
22-13-01 per trunk group Set Mode 2 to area 2. ( Per trunk GROUP , not per trunk )
22-10 Set up the 2 areas for the 2 modes
22-11-01 Clear out all receive number in all tables ( remove 2 digit mapping )
Tables 1-200 are used in mode 1 , Tables 201-400 are used in mode 2
