It is recommended for all SIP trunking that Direct Indial is set up for all channels, even if you only have one number, this prevents phish attempts as SIP INVITES with incorrect destinations will be rejected
The following is an example of how to set up DDI having 2 modes eg day/night, This is the basic switching technique that ALL numbers will switch at the same time.
Programming:
22-09-01 Set to 8 digit mapping
22-02-01 Set to DDI for all Modes for all trunks
22-13-01 per trunk group Set Mode 2 to area 2, 3 to 3 & so on
22-11-01 Clear out all receive number in all tables ( remove 2 digit mapping )
Tables 1-200 are used in mode 1 , Tables 201-400 are used in mode 2
Set up the Mapping:
22-11-01 Enter received number in 8 digit format
22-11-02 Enter valid “Extension Number” or “Department Pilot”
Optional, you can omit if you wish to go straight to a IRG/VRS
22-11-03 Name to be displayed on handset
22-11-05 & 06 Enter any of the following:
If 22-11-06 is populated then 22-11-04 condition must be set.
If a call flows to the VRS or speed dial bin in 22-11-05 then call will not overflow to 22-11-06
