Changing operator using Day/Night modes- handy for hotels with after hours going to offsite answer service
The SL2100 has a built in loopback feature, that can be used to increase the flexibility of call routing. Virtual loopback ports are presented as trunk and extension ports and can be configured in a similar way to an ISDN trunk and ISDN S-Point extension.
You can select up to 30 Virtual Loopback channels.
Set the number of loopbacks required, this will depend on the situation:
An Operator number for an internal calls in hotel, you could get away with 2 or 3 Simultaneous
calls
Set the number of simultaneous calls in 10-42-01
Take note of
You now have 2 loopback trunks in 14-01
And 2 extensions in 15-01
(on a default system if you dial extension port 23 (ext123 ) line 5 would flash and ring
In 11-1 change 9x to Extension (as we are using 9 as the operator extension)
We now use the freed up 9 as Department Groups & DDI mapping
I am going to use dept group 2 and set the pilot number as 9 in 11-07
Add the 2 loopback extensions into department group 2 in 16-03
14-05-01 Set trunks 5 to 6 in a different trunk group e.g. 2
22-02-01 Set trunks 5 to 6 as DID day and night
22-09-01 Set trunk group 2 to 1 digit mapping for the trunk group in 14-05
22-13-01 set translation table for trunk group 2 to 11 in day and 12 in night
22-10-06
Make 06=701-701 this is the day mode translation table
Make 07=702-702 this will be the night mode translation table
22-11 table 701 – create a Day operator
Receive digit =9
22-11 table 702-create a night operator
Confirm that the trunks 5&6 are in night mode group 1 in 12-06
