Yeastar - Poly Edge E series keys not working on handset

Yeastar - Poly Edge E series keys not working on handset



It has come to our attention that there is an issue with the newer version poly EDGE E series handsets and physical buttons on the phone not working 

keys affected are 
Home , 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,#,* and volume are non responsive

although BLF keys works fine 

you will see errors in the phone logs

the issue here is that the default password (456 )has been reused in the Yeastar PBX as the password for the phone . this only seems to affect  phones running on 8.3 ver firmware , as older versions will accept the original password


the solution

go to Provisioning Phones 

and change password 


Now re-provision the phone so it takes affect ( you may need a reboot , as the phone tends to be unresponsive
