Yeastar- Provisioning Avaya J series handsets using Avaya DES

Add the Handsets via Yeastar>Auto Provisioning>Phones

1. Add the MAC
   
2. Use the Avaya Custom template , available here
   
3. Copy the Provisioning Link
   

Log into Avaya DES

Access https://des.avaya.com/

At the Login, Select Avaya-SSO

Login with Avaya SSO login details

Select Profile Management

Add a New profile for your Yeastar instance

1. Name it
   
2. Server type is HTTPS
   
3. paste the provisioning link from the yeastar 
   
4. click the tick
5. click submit

Select Company Accounts>Account Management

Add an Account and fill Customer and/or your details. Submit

Select the Site tab and add Site

1. Name Site
   

1. Select the profile created earlier
   
2. Click the Tick to apply

Select the Firmware Management Tab

Make sure the Firmware upgrade is selected on, and J100 set to Latest

Registration using Device MAC / Serial Number

Select Devices, Claim Device

Enter the Serial Number and MAC Address of the Device (example J179 handset)

Select Claim

A notification will confirm the Device has been claimed successfully

Select Devices, Manage Devices

Select the Filter (top right)

Enter the MAC Address and select Enter to search for the Device

Select the Device (tick the box)

Select Associate

Select Yes

Select the Account Name from the drop down

Select the Customer Site from the drop down

Select Submit

A notification will confirm the Device has been associated successfully

Select the Device (tick box)

Select Activate

A notification will confirm the Device has been activated successfully

Device Setup for Registration using MAC / Serial Number

1. If a new device, power on the device
2. If an existing device you will need to clear the settings back to default, select the 3 horizontal lines, select Administration, enter the Access Code CRAFT and Enter. Scroll down and select Reset to Defaults and select Reset to confirm
   

When the device asks “Do you want to activate auto provisioning now” select Yes (if nothing is pressed the timeout will default to NO)

The Device will access the DES server via the internet, the DES server will match the Device to the associated Profile and Account and provide the Device with the HTTPS URL to access the  Yeastar and pull config file.

Device will also upgrade to latest firmware from DES, and may reboot multiple times
