How to Register a Yealink Handset on Yeastar Cloud PBX Using Yealink RPS



Access the Yeastar cloud PBX

Select Extension and Trunk – Extension – Add

Configure the required information for the User

Select Save

Select Auto Provisioning – Phones – Add



Select Yealink as the Vendor

Select your handset model

Enter the MAC address of the phone (label on back of phone)

Select the template

Select the Extension

Copy the Provisioning Link and save it somewhere

Select Save

Confirm the device has been added successfully

Select Apply at the top right



Access the Yealink RPS

https://au.ymcs.yealink.com/manager/login

Login and select Device Management

Select RPS – Device - Add

Enter the details required

MAC (label on phone)

Machine ID (label on phone)

Unique Server URL (copied when creating the Auto Provisioning in Yeastar)

Username of the Extension created in Yeastar

Password of the Extension created in Yeastar

Select Save




Power on the Yealink handset

If brand new, allow the handset to obtain an IP address on the network and contact the Yealink RPS server to match the Device and login as the User/Extension


If the handset is already configured for another pbx, select Menu – Settings – Advanced Settings

Enter the password: admin

Select OK

Scroll down to Reset Config and select Enter

Select Reset to Factory Settings and select Enter

Select OK to the prompt Reset to Factory Settings?


Refresh the RPS and the Status should show as Bound




Select the Dashboard in the Yeastar Cloud PBX

It will show the extension is registered




Select Extension and Trunk – Extension

Confirm the phone symbol is displaying an Online Status

Troubleshooting

If the handset has not registered


  1. Confirm that you selected apply in the Yeastar Cloud PBX (top right)
  2. Select Maintenance – Troubleshooting – Ethernet Capture Tool – Start

Then restart the handset, to allow it to register again, once the phone is on and showing No Service on the screen Stop the capture, download and use wireshark to view the SIP traffic
