Yeastar Disaster Recovery Setup


When the system is ordered (disaster recovery will be added as an additional license


Once ordered you will be provided with two Activation Codes (example below)


Deploy the Primary Server then deploy the Redundancy Server (using the correct Activation Code for each)

Once done, upgrade both servers to the latest firmware (this needs to match)

Note, when you accessed the Redundancy Server the below message will show

Set up SD-WAN Network on Working Server

Join SD-WAN Network on Redundancy Server

Save and Reboot


Check the Redundancy Server Disaster Recovery

Confirm it shows In Redundancy

If not and shows Abnormal – reboot the Primary




Server Redundancy (Yeastar SD-WAN) on SIP Devices and Linkus UC Clients

To Test the Disaster Recovery

Power off the Primary Server and wait 2 minutes

The SIP Phones, SIP trunks and Linkus Client Apps should register to the Redundancy Server

Make test calls to confirm all working


When you login to the FQDN you will see the message below

Redundancy Server has now taken over the PBX system. Please note that some feature configuration changes will only apply to this server and will not be synchronized back to the Working Server. Check the user guide to learn more details.





Restoring to Primary Server

When finished testing, Power on the Primary Server

Access the Primary Server via the Public IP (not the FQDN)

Select System – High Availability – Disaster Recovery

If an option, select Repair Completed. Initiate Data Synchronization


When ready, select Take Over


Select OK


Check the phones are registered (if not they will need to be rebooted)
