Creating SIP trunk with Telnyx carrier
Create Profile
Profile required to be created to assign to SIP trunk. The profile contains outbound call parameters i.e. channel limits, country dialling list
Create an outbound Voice profile:
1. Create Profile
2. Name Profile
3. Allow destinations, For Australia allow OCEANIA, additionally In this section, you can choose the international destinations you would like to allow calls to be allowed to terminate to.
4. Assign channel limit, this is the quantity of channels associated to profile. This can be all available channels as restriction on channel limit is completed a SIP trunk level.
5. Can adjust ADVANCED settings as required i.e. Recording of calls
***Currently only outbound calls can be recorded at trunk level***
****To review allocated trunks, go to Real-Time
Communications -> Settings -> Voice Channels where Zone B is where we
can add allotted channels****
6. Save profile, now profile available to assign to SIP trunk
7. Pick SIP connection if already created and assign
Or Create SIP Connection to create a new
Setup SIP Trunk
Real-Time Communications -> Voice -> SIP trunking
1. Under CONFIGURATION tab, Name the connection (1), Assign Anchor Site(2) & enable status (3)
2. Within AUTHENTICATION AND ROUTING assign username (1) and password (2), These credentials will be used for registration
3. Under INBOUND assign number format required (1) and channel limit (2)
4. Assign the profile (1) to the service and channel limit (2) for outbound calls under OUTBOUND tab
5. If required you can assign a overriding CLI for outbound calls (3) and if there is RBT issues adjust Ring back settings (4)
6. Assign numbers to the service, these can be purchased and or ported, click on Buy Numbers purchase additional numbers
PAYG and CHANNEL Assignment for Billing
To allocate PAYG and not charged on inbound
Real-Time Communications -> Numbers -> Manage Numbers and against the numbers required update within Number Settings -> Voice -> Billing
