NEC-CP10 lic to CP20 lic process LMS

SV9100 CPU  CP10  license migration to SV9100 CPU  CP20.

The license migration of an existing customer on SV9100 CPU type CP10 to CPU type CP20 is a simple process using the License Management Server, version 11.xx and above.

  1. LMS SV9000 migration feature.

The LMS version 11.xx and above has the feature for CP20 license migration.

When viewing the existing customer on LMS the SV9000 migration option will be available.

See image below.

There is no need to create a new customer location for the CPU type CP20 as this will be automatically created from the CPU CP10 customer information once the SV9000 migration process has been completed with a valid CP20 Hardware Key Code.

Once the license migration has been completed successfully, the only customer location data will be for the CP20.   The existing CP10 data will be archived on the LMS in a read only format for record keeping purpose.

The following screen captures show the process of migrating the existing CP10 licenses to a new CP20,  for the same customer, same location.

  1. Log onto the License Management Server ( LMS ) with the dealer LMS admin details.

  1. Customer Administration -  locate the customer and customer location for CP20 upgrade via Customer Administration.

Locate appropriate customer for CP20 upgrade and select Locations tab.

Once the appropriate customer  / location has been selected,  select the License Information tab for the customer.

The License Information page will provide a link for CP20 License SV9000 Migration.

If the option for SV9000 Migration is selected, a prompt will request the System Migration information,   for the Hardware Key Code of the new CP20.

CPU CP20 Hardware Key codes have a prefix of  44xx xxxx xxxx

  1. After clicking on Submit option, LMS validates the HKC against CP20 System specification and migrates SV9100 CP10 location to SV9100 CP20 location.

When the CP20 Hardware Key code has been entered and ‘YES’ is selected to proceed, the system will check the validity of the CP20 HWK code.

ERROR.    If the Hardware Key Code for the CP20 is incorrect or fails the validity test an error will be displayed to advise the code is invalid.

When the process completes successfully the CP10 customer location will be converted to CP20 with the CP20 Hardware Key Code.  All Existing CP10 Licenses will be migrated to CP20.

The Purchas Order No. and the Sales Order No. for the location will represent the migration tag and date.
