Yeastar - Avaya J Series DHCP for Provisioning - Scope Option 242

Avaya J Series DHCP for Provisioning 

In addition to issuing IP address information, DHCP servers can issue other information in response to requests for different specific DHCP option numbers. Avaya J Series utilize SSON 242 to request additional information from a DHCP server.
You can add the following string into your DHCP server. When an Avaya J series phone is connected to local network it will obtain the 242 string and direct to your Yeastar instance.

Firmware of the Avaya handset MUST be 4.1.1.0.7 or later. And not contained in any Avaya DES

To build the string you will need to deploy an Avaya handset into your PBX and obtain the Provisioning link

Auto Provisioning -> Phones


With the provision link you can build the DHCP scope
  1. TLSSRVR: The public IP address / domain name of the PBX: webinartraining2.au.ycmcloud.com
  2. TLSDIR: The file path on the PBX:  api/autoprovision/AHqpaaISyP0JnpwM
  3. TLSPORT: The server port of the PBX: 443
  4. SIG: The software version of the Avaya IP phone. Set the value to 2: 2
DHCP String for above:
TLSSRVR=webinartraining2.au.ycmcloud.com,TLSDIR=api/autoprovision/AHqpaaISyP0JnpwM,TLSPORT=443,SIG=2

Update into DHCP server, Factory reset Avaya J series device.
