Scenario: A Nurse requires assistance in a patient’s room


In Voicemail Pro, create a module named ParkAndPage.

Connect the Start Point to a Park and Page element.

Connect the Results to a Disconnect element.

Edit the Park and Page element.


In Specific tab.


Enter a unique Park Slot Prefix (note we have used 60) when accessing the ParkAndPage module, the system will park the caller in the slot, page the group with the wav file, then advise the park slot number.


The first park slot will be 600, if that slot is currently occupied then it will advise the next available park slot, example 601, this will continue through to 609


Enter the Page Group that will be alerted with the page.


Enter the number of retries as required (in our example we have used 3).


Enter the retry timeout as required (in our example we have used 15 seconds).


Add a prompt to play when the page is made. 

Example “Nurse requires help on park


Select Ok to close the Park and Page element.


Select File, Save & Make Live, to save the changes to the Voicemail Pro database.




In IPO Config, create a Shortcode to dial the ParkAndPage module in Voicemail Pro.

In IPO Config, create UnPark Call Shortcodes to pick up the parked call.

The telephone number represents the park slot.

AUnPark Shortcode for accessing each park slot will be required.

Example we will need 10 UnPark Call Shortcodes creating.



If required, you can program a button to dial the Shortcode, which will dial the ParkAndPage module in Voicemail Pro.

If required, you can program a button to Unpark (pickup) the parked page call.
