Avaya IPO Upload Greeting Files to Voicemail Pro
Login to the server running Voicemail Pro (this could be a UC Module, Application Server, or Server Edition)
Example: https://192.168.42.1:7070/WebManagement/WebManagement.html
The wav file greeting that will be uploaded must be in the below format
Select Applications, File Manager
If using the greeting for an auto attendant Select Disk, VMProCustomPrompts folder
Select VMProCustomPrompts
Select the Add
Browse and select the wav files to upload
Select OK
Select the wav file
Select Apply Prompts
A message will appear confirming Custom Prompt has been applied successfully
If the below error shows
Disconnect and close Voicemail Pro Client
Then Apply Prompts again
If uploading a wav file and it fails to upload file
Select VMProCustomPromptsTrash
Select the + icon
Browse and select the wav files to upload
Select OK
Select the file
Select Move
Select VMProCustomPrompts folder
Select Move
A message will appear to confirm the file has been moved succesfully
Select VMProCustomPRompts folder
Select the file
Select Apply Prompts
A message will appear confirming Custom Prompt has been applied successfully
If still fails to upload the file
1. Delete the file from the CustomPrompts and CustomPromptsTrash folder in Web Manager
2. Access the IPOSE via port 7071, select Updates and select Clear Local Cache
3. Select System, Stop and then start both the Web Manager and Voicemail Pro services
4.
In your web browser clear the cache (example if using Chrome,
select settings (3 dots top right) select Delete Browsing Data. Make sure you
are not deleting your Passwords and Other Sign-in data
5. Close your browser and open a new browser, access the IPOSE Web Manager and now try to upload the wav file and apply
Select Download
In the element that requires the Custom Prompt to be used
Example below, we are going to use the Custom Prompt in the Menu element
Right click and select Properties (or double click) to open
Select the Add button
Select the box with the 3 dots to locate the file
Select the /opt/vmpro/Wavs/CustomPrompts folder
Select the file and select OK
You can change the Media Device to Telephone Handset and enter and Extension and select the Play button to call the extension and play the file to confirm it is correct
Do not select the Record button as this will record over the file
When finished select Close
The file will show in the Entry Prompts list
Select OK
Select File, Save & Make Live

If using the greeting for a User Greetings
The .wav files need to be named as the username_1.wav (all lower case) to match the user name
If using the greeting for a Group Greetings
The .wav files need to be named as the below (all lower case) to match the group name
groupname_1.wav for the standard greeting
groupname_oos.wav for the out of hours greeting
groupname_queued.wav for the first queue announcement greeting
groupname_stillqueued.wav for the first queue announcement greeting
The wav file needs to be uploaded to the Disk, vmpro, Greeting folder, you do not need to apply these
