Avaya J Series - Distinctive Ringtones
Utilizing the Avaya J Series custom template to provision your Avaya handsets on Yeastar PBX you can allocate custom ringtone to groups & queues in the Yeastar for differential notification on Avaya J series handsets.
There are 8 custom ring profiles that can be used to be assigned for Avaya handsets.

if there is a mix of brand devices on site i.e. Yealink and Avaya the naming convention stated below MUST be used in other brands if setting distinctive ring.
Assigning Custom Ring Tone
The following can be assigned to be used in the "Alert Info" fields for custom ring
Ring Tone 1: customring1
Ring Tone 2: customring2
Ring Tone 3: customring3
Ring Tone 4: customring4
Ring Tone 5: customring5
Ring Tone 6: customring6
Ring Tone 7: customring7
Ring Tone 8: customring8
Ring Group Distinctive Ring
In the following Example I am assigning Ring Tone 7 for my alert info tone against my group.
Go to Call features -> Ring Group -> Ring Group Alert Info
Enter name for ring tone
MUST BE IN FORMAT AS ABOVE LISTED: customringX, (X being the ring tone number) any other naming convention will not evoke the tone
Once saved when the Ring Group is called the tone will be played through the handset differentiating the call
Queue Distinctive Ring Tone
In the following Example I am assigning Ring Tone 7 for my alert info tone against my group.
Go to Call features -> Ring Group -> Ring Group Alert Info

MUST BE IN FORMAT AS ABOVE LISTED: customringX, (X being the ring tone number) any other naming convention will not evoke the tone
Once saved when the Queue is called the tone will be played through the handset differentiating the call
