NEC -Checking SMTP vmail to email via DIM trace

Terminal access, command line ( NEC call this DIM trace )

You need to:

Enable the DIM ( telnet console ) 90-31-01 ( take note of the credentials )

Configure a listening port on the NEC 10-20-06 I recommend 5964 , but can be any valid un-used TCP number

Telnet to the ip/port allocated eg using putty:


enter


vmuaid 1



then vmuaid 18 - this enables debugging mode THIS MUST BE DISABLED WHEN FINISHED WITH DEBUGGING


you will see the email go thru



IMPORTANT
when finished - turn off the debugging
