Busy tone when ringing Busy Multi Line Terminal

Multi Line terminals are by default are “Never Busy” , as they can handle multiple calls

If the loud Beep is the issue, this can be turned off on a per extension basis:

There are certain scenarios Where a user may require busy tone to be sent back to the callee when the multiline terminal they are calling is in use for both internal and external callers.

Busy tone can be sent back to the callee via class of service for internal calls by disabling the two memory blocks below remember on a default system handsets are in class 1 and 15 so both settings in both classes will need to be disabled. This will also affect analogue extensions.

There is an exception to this class of service, any extension programmed as an operator will bypass this signaling type. By default extension 101 is the operator and therefore will need to be removed. This will only effect users who dial 9 to contact the operator.

NOTE:

This will only affect internal calls and direct in dials pointing to a specific extension, members of ring groups will always be notified of incoming calls as ring groups are never busy.
