In order to send a SIP INVITE immediately after the operator has dialed the last digit, Dial plans are used. Other wise a timer is used to signal the system to send the “INVITE” to the carrier with what it has, by default this is set to 10 seconds, each time the operator dials another digit the timer is reset back to 10 seconds. This timer value can be changed in 21-01-03 “External Call, inter digit timer”
You can shorten this timer to a shorter value, but then create the risk sending incomplete numbers.
NEC does not have a “Dial Plan” like most other PBX’s, the work around is to use ARS matching to process the call by F-Route tables.
LIMITATIONS:
You must dial “0” to access the line for the digits to be analysed, if you press the “Line Key” then the ARS matching is bypassed. You can deal with this in two ways:
Tell your clients to dial “0” to access external lines.
Remove “Line Keys” & replace them with “CAP” or “Loop” keys, forcing them to dial “0”
Sip trunks to be programmed & active.
Script is available to program all the values required , to both SL2100 & SV9100
Set all combinations that a user might dial , Emergency , local , Mobile. Below is a list of possibilities for any state in Australia. Note all three columns need values.
In this example if a user dial 04 it is matched in Table Entry 0012, at this point your line/CAP/Loop key will light up & will use the value in F-Route table 10 , which is set to use “Trunk group 1” & send the INVITE as soon as it receives the 10th digit.
