A separate Customer Hosted Info document will be provided to you with the specific FQDN assigned to the customers Avaya IPOSE hosted system
The below details are generic and not specific to your customer’s site
Replace the FQDN with the specific ones provided to you on the Customer Hosted Info document
A certificate will be generated specific to your customer’s site (this certificate will need to be installed on any PC accessing the system via the web browser links below, it will also need to be installed on any devices that the Avaya Workplace softphone is installed, this could be a Windows PC, Apple Mac, Android, or iPhone)
Where to Download the certificate
Access platform View: https://FQDN:7071/login
Login with the credentials provided on the email
Select Settings, General
In Certificates, select Download (DER-encoded)
Save the root certificate
How to Access
You can access the system via the below URL links
Web Manager: https://FQDN:7070/WebManagement/WebManagement.html
Provides access to configure the Avaya IPOSE
Platform View: https://FQDN:7071/login
Provides access to the services running on the Avaya IPOSE (a full server reboot can be carried out via platform view)
46xxsettings.txt File: https://FQDN:411/46xxsettings.txt
Contains details of the settings configured, these settings are used by the SIP devices registering to the Avaya IPOSE, the file is not editable, it can be accessed to confirm a remote location where a SIP device is located can reach the Avaya IPOSE
To connect a J Series phone
Power on the phone
When prompted select No to auto provision
Wait until it asks for the provisioning details (this can take a few minutes)
Enter the following https://FQDN:411
Select OK
The phone will restart, download firmware and then when ready will prompt you to enter the extension and login code of the Extension/User that you have configured on the Avaya IPOSE
J Series phone download the root certificate when connecting to the Avaya IPOSE (if a J Series phone has been connected to a system previously, then you will need to access the Administration on the phone and Reset to Default to clear previous settings and certificates before connecting to the Avaya IPOSE (the default Access Code to access the Administration is CRAFT (27238)
To connect a Workplace Softphone app
Install the Workplace app on the device
Install the certificate on the device (see below)
Installing Certificate on Windows PC
Open the certificate file, Select Install Certificate
Select Local Machine, Select Next
Select Place all certificates in the following store
Select Browse and select Trusted Root Certification Authorities
Select OK
Select Next Select Finish

Confirm no certificate warnings appear and that the 46xxsettings file displays correctly
Install Avaya Self-Signed Certificate on Android
Download and Install Avaya Workplace from the Google Play Store
Email the certificate file to the Android
Download the certificate on the Android
Open Settings and Select Security, Advanced, Encryption & Credentials, Install a Certificate
Select CA Certificate
Select Install Anyway
Select the certificate (this should display in FILES IN DOWNLOADS)
The certificate will be installed
Open Settings and Select Security, Advanced, Encryption & Credentials, User Credentials
The certificate will display here
Open Settings and Select Security, Advanced, Encryption & Credentials, Trusted Credentials
Select USER and the certificate will display here
Open Avaya Workplace App and allow access to microphone, video, contacts, etc and agree to the EULA
Install Avaya Self-Signed Certificate on iPhone
Download and Install Avaya Workplace from the App Store
Email the certificate to the iPhone
Download/Install the certificate (this will save as a profile)
NOTE: you might need to use the native Apple Email App to open the email
Install the profile – Select Settings>General>Profiles & Device Management and select Install the profile
Allow the certificate – Select Settings>General>About>Certificate Trust Settings
Under “Enable full trust for root certificate” – turn on trust for the certificate
Trust Settings. Under "Enable full trust for root certificates," turn on trust for the certificate.
Open Avaya Workplace App and allow access to microphone, video, contacts, etc and agree to the EULA
If you have issues installing the certificate
Rename the certificate file type from .crt to .p12 or try a different email client/app on the iPhone
Avaya Workplace Login
Open the IX Workplace software
Select Configure my account
Select the settings icon and select Use Web Address
Enter https://FQDN:411/46xxsettings.txt
Select Next
Enter the User Extension Number
Enter the User Password (not login code)
Select Next
The tutorial will display
Select Next to view the tutorial pages
Select Done when finished to close the tutorial
Or select Skip to close the tutorial
You can then select the settings icon (top right)
Select support and Open Tutorial to view the tutorial again
A green tick icon in the top left displays to confirm the IX Workplace has registered with the system and presence is working
Confirm there are no red warning icons on the top bar
If the red warning icons displays, then select the icon to view details of the error
Example: If an update is required, apply the update and the IX Workplace will re-login
Any error will require troubleshooting to fix the issues
It is recommended to setup an Avaya Spaces for the end customer to sync with the IP Office system
Avaya Spaces is required if using Workplace on iPhone as Apple Push Notifications are required to be setup
