Avaya IP Office Media Manager Using Amazon AWS S3 Bucket Storage
Creating an Amazon S3 bucket for Media Manager
Create Bucket
Create a Folder in Bucket
Create Access Key
Download the csv file (also copy and paste both the Access ID and Key to a notepad and save it
Select Done
Configuring cloud-based storage as primary storage
IPO Configuration Web Manager
Select Applications – Media Manager
Set the Call Storage Type – Hosted Storage
Set the Hosted Storage Type – Amazon S3 Bucket
Set Bucket Name – To Match the S3 Bucket Created in AWS
Set Parent Folder – To Match the Folder Created in the S3 Bucket in AWS
Set User Access Key ID and User Secret Access Key to Match the One Created in AWS
Select Test Connection to confirm successful
Select Update
Select OK (if moving to S3 bucket from another storage, then as per below, additional work must be done to move the old recordings, this is not covered in this guide)
Testing
Make a call and confirm it is recorded in System Status (example below)
Once the call has ended, check IP Office Web Manager
Applications – Media Manager – Recordings
Confirm the recorded call is there
Check in the S3 Bucket to confirm the recorded call is there
Configuring an Amazon S3 archiving connector
Web Manager
Applications – Media Manager – Connectors
Select Add – Amazon S3 Bucket
Enter details to connect to S3 bucket
Test Connection to confirm successful, then select Create
Web Manager
Applications – Media Manager – Configuration
Set Active Connector as the one created
Select Update
Make a test call that is recorded
Once the call has ended, check IP Office Web Manager
Applications – Media Manager – Recordings
Confirm the recorded call is there
Check in the S3 Bucket to confirm the archive of the recorded call is there
