Abstract
These Application Notes describe the configuration of Yealink Multi-Cell IP DECT on Avaya IP Office as 3rd party IP Endpoints.

Enable SIP Registrar under the LAN interface that’s on the network.
Manager > System > LAN > VoIP > Enable SIP Registrar
Manager > System > LAN > VoIP > SIP Domain Name: <blank>
Manager > System > LAN > VoIP > SIP Registrar FQDN: <blank>
Note: When SIP Domain and SIP Registrar FQDN are blank, these fields are automatically replaced by the IP address of the LAN interface on the system Settings file.
Create User and extension for the Yealink DECT handsets.
Yealink IP Dect handsets register as SIP Extension on IP Office.
Example:
Create User:
Users > New User > Enter Name > Enter Extension 788 > Login Code : 963852741
Create Extension
Extensions> New Extension > SIP Extension > Base Extension: 788 > Phone password > same as login Code of the user: 963852741
Components of the DECT IP Multi-Cell System
The following illustration shows the components of the DECT IP multi-cell system and the way the system is embedded in the IP phone environment:

System consists of W90 DM, which is the Device Manager for system. Looks like a Base station but has no radio. Used for Management of Dect system. And W90 B which are base or cell station, radios for the DECT.
Base can either be wireless sync or Lan Sync. General rule. Is if all bases are connected to the one POE switch, LAN sync can be used. If connected to multiple Switches, please refer to guide on LAN Sync.
Wireless sync can be used, but good coverage required between base stations.
Device Role:
The W90DM is shipped as a DECT Manager (DM) and the W90B is shipped as a base station.

Alternatively use Any IP scanner (example: Advanced IP Scanner https://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/ ) and scan the network.
Search, and filter the MAC address of the DECT BASE of W70B (single Cell)
Accessing Web User Interface
You can configure and manage features of the multi-cell system via the web user interface.
When configuring via the web user interface http://IPAddressOfW90
The default username and password are “user” (case-sensitive). For an administrator - who has unlimited access to call features of the web user interface, the default username and password are “admin” (case-sensitive).
Endter Uername admin and password admin
IP Address Configuration:
Navigate to Network > Basic > IPV4 Config > select Static IP > enter the static IP address and DNS you want to assign the IP DECT DM from the customers’ network.
Click Confirm and the base station will reboot.
Login again using the new IP address to the DM
Time & Date Configuration
Settings > Time&Date
Adjust the Time settings to sync from primary Server or set Manual Time. Set NTP address, time zone, daylight savings.
Tones Configuration
Settings > Tones
Set Tones Country to Australia
DM SIP Server Settings:
Navigate to Handset & Account > SIP Server Settings > Edit the First Template >
Template Name: Enter a name
SIP Server 1:
Server Host: Enter the IP address of IP Office PBX
Server Port: 5060
Transport: UDP
Click OK
Configuration Of Base Stations:
Login to each Base Station by browsing to IP Address. Login using admin/admin
In left hand menu select Base Mode
Set the IP address of your Device Manager (DM)
Registering Base stations on Device Manager (DM)
When all Base stations have been configured for DM address, Login to Device Manager DM by browsing to IP Address. Login using admin/admin
Select Base station in lefthand menu.
All Bases should appear in table.
Select Auto sync
Register each unit by selecting the register icon
Once registered, bases will appear in Settings table.
Select the Auto Sync Tree, this will run a wizard for best Sync
Once Sync is completed, the green DECT LED on Bases should be on.
Handset & Account Configuration:
Navigate to Handset & Account > Handset Registration > Add Handset >
Enter Handset IPUI
Line Active: Enable
Label: enter the extension number
Display Name: enter the extension number
Register Name: enter the extension number
Username: enter the extension number
Password: enter the extension password (login code)
SIP Server: Select the PBX server from the list
Select Register handset
Register DECT Handsets
From the DECT handset, go to settings >6 Registration > Register Handset
Select base and when asked for password enter 0000
Press OK
Handset will now show up in Handset registration.
Codec Configuration
Under each Handset > Advanced settings > Enable and reorder the codec preferences PCMA, G729, G722
Voicemail Access code Configuration
Under each Handset > Advanced settings >
Voice Mail > enter the code to access voicemail from PBX
Enable: Subscribe for MWI and Subscribe MWI to Voice Mail
Conclusion
During compliance testing, Yealink SIP DECT IP phones successfully registered through W90DM and W90B DECT Multi Cell Base station with Avaya IP Office 500 V2A Release 11.1, placed, and received calls to and from SIP and non-SIP telephones, and included other telephony features like three-way conference, transfers, hold, etc. Directory information needs to be manually uploaded to the Phone via web GUI.
Yealink W90DM and W90B IP DECT are compliant with Avaya IP Office Release 11.1.
