Avaya IPO Register 3rd Party SIP Extension



In this guide we are using Micro SIP Client that can be downloaded from the link below

This method can be used to confirm 3rd party SIP extension registration to the Avaya IPO, once the settings are confirmed as working and the Micro SIP Client has registered, you can use the same settings in your 3rd SIP device to register (remember to unregister the Micro SIP Client before doing so)


The below setup is assuming the 3rd party SIP will be registering with UDP port 5060 locally to the Avaya IPO LAN1 IP address


Manager Programming



Select System, LAN1, VoIP

Confirm SIP Registrar is Enabled

Confirm the UDP and TCP port number (default 5060)

Select Users

Create a User with Name and Full Name

Set a Password

Set an Extension

Select OK (select SIP Extension and enter a Phone Password using numbers only and select OK

Set a Voicemail Code

Set a Login Code (match this to the Phone Password you set)

Select Extensions

Check and confirm the SIP Extension has been created (confirm the Phone Password is the one you set against the User Login Code)

Select License

Confirm you have a 3rd Party IP Endpoint License

Save the configuration




MicroSIP Configuration


Select the drop-down arrow at the top right and select Add Account

Enter the settings as required


Account Name/Display Name is the Username

SIP Server and Domain are the Avaya IPO LAN1 IP Address

Username and Login are the User/Extension Number

Password is the Phone Password/Login Code of the User/Extension


When finished select Save

If registered successfully it will display Online at the bottom left and the extension at the bottom right
