Avaya Group Paging with ESCENE P760A SIP Paging unit
1.Create Extension for SIP Paging Device
Goto Extensions add new SIP extension (this is your user name for SIP device)
Create extension number and password (this your authentication password for SIP device)
Click on the VoIP tab change 3rd party Auto Answer to RFC 5373
Create the user
2. Create a Paging group.
Set Ring Mode Collective.
Add the Users including SIP paging extension
Set Group No Answer Time (sec): Off
Set Group No Answer Destination: None
Set a Voicemail Code
3.Paging via any Handset
Create a System Short Code
Code: Use a Unique Code
Feature: Dial Paging
Telephone Number: Enter Group Number
Save Config
Anybody can now dial #295 and will hear a beep, after which they can talk, this will page out to all available devices in the group.
Paging via Specific Users
If only specific Users require the ability to Page, then instead of a System Short Code
A Short Code can be created in the individual Users Short Codes tab.
Alternatively, a Paging button can be created to allow the User to Page.
5. Add SIP ESCENE PS760A Paging unit
Log into unit (DHCP Enabled by default find by IP scan)
Set network settings , you can use DHCP or static address
Add sip account info for account 1 using the Extension number as user name and the extension password as the password , SIP server & Outbound proxy as IP Office address
Set speaker Volumes
Check in manager to see if registered.
Now test
