NEC and Panasonic Support

NEC and Panasonic Support

From the 31st March 2026, CommsPlus will be concluding its formal support services for both NEC and Panasonic platforms. This milestone follows more than 10 years supporting Panasonic and 4 years supporting NEC solutions, and we sincerely thank our partners for the many years of collaboration that we have shared over this journey.

This has been a difficult decision and has not been taken lightly. As many partners will be aware, both Panasonic and NEC have now exited the market and moved to end-of-sale status. With these platforms no longer being actively sold, developed, or strategically supported by the respective vendors, CommsPlus is unable to continue you to provide the same high level of support and escalation services as we have done to date.

Our priority remains ensuring that our support resources are focused on actively developed technologies and vendors that continue to invest in product innovation, security updates, and long-term roadmaps that benefit our partner community

What this means for partners

From 31st March 2026 onward:

  • The CommsPlus Support Desk will no longer provide technical troubleshooting or vendor escalation for NEC and Panasonic products
  • All existing knowledge base articles will remain available for partner access and reference
  • Software and firmware currently accessible via the Partner Resource Centre will remain available, however these will no longer receive updates or new releases
  • Warranty-related matters can still be submitted through the standard Return Request process
  • Any assistance provided by CommsPlus will be on a best-effort basis only, as we will no longer be able to escalate issues to vendors

Ongoing assistance & partner support

While formal product support is ending, CommsPlus remains committed to assisting partners wherever reasonably possible.

Partners requiring help with configuration changes, system modifications, or transition planning can continue to engage our Professional Services team. This service remains ideal for system updates, redesigns, migrations, and upgrade assistance.

Most importantly, CommsPlus will continue to fully support active partners across all other supported products and vendors. Our goal remains unchanged — to provide dependable, responsive support that helps our partners operate efficiently and grow confidently.

We recognise that many of these systems have been reliable workhorses for years, and this update is intended to provide clarity and sufficient lead time for planning, budgeting, and customer discussions.

Should you wish to explore upgrade paths, replacement options, or transition strategies, please feel free to contact your account manager or the CommsPlus team.

Please note, from 1st April, all tickets will need to be raised through the PRC.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and support.

Warm regards,

The CommsPlus Team
